Written in her wonderfully honest, edgy, passionate and often hilarious voice, Tiffanie DeBartolo tells the story of Eliza Caelum, a young music journalist, and Paul Hudson, a talented songwriter and lead singer of the band Bananafish. Eliza’s reverence for rock is equaled only by Paul’s, and the two fall wildly in love.
When Bananafish is signed by a big corporate label, and Paul is on his way to becoming a major rock star, Eliza must make a heartbreaking decision that leads to Paul’s sudden disappearance and a surprise knock-your-socks-off ending
My honest review:
WOW!!! WOW! WOW!!! 5stars+++
This book is GODDAMN amazing!! Just beautifully written , and the story line is just Mind-blowing I devoured every single words. ‘How to kill a rock star’ is now officially one of my favorite book of all time.
This book is GODDAMN nerve-wrecking , gut-wrenching, Freaking Hilarious, and GODDAMN, so heart-breaking sad, I was pouring tears near the end! fuck wasn’t expecting that ending at all. I’ve been on an wild emotional roller-coaster and back. I just love all the characters.
I ‘m a big pro in supporting underground music bands. There’s so many non-mainstream musician that are so talented and have big passion in what they do, comparing to some sell-out artist. It’s sad to know record labels always weighs profit more than helping real talents.
I can’t believe this book has been out since 2005, I’m just glad i decided to finally read it. SUCH A WORTHY READ I don’t know how to rave this book more, Just Please get a GODDAMN copy !
Thanks Tiffanie Debartolo for such an amazing read
