Mia Kelly is a twenty-five-year-old walking Gap ad who thinks she has life figured out when her father’s sudden death uproots her from slow-paced Ann Arbor to New York City’s bustling East Village. There she discovers her father’s spirit for life and the legacy he left behind with the help of an old café, a few eccentric friends, and one charming musician.
Will Ryan is good-looking, poetic, spontaneous, and on the brink of fame when he meets Mia, his new landlord, muse, and personal heartbreaker
A story of self-discovery and friendship, Sweet Thing shines light on the power of loving and letting go

My honest review:

“Maybe your early twenties were about wearing Daisy Dukes, withdrawing from a zillion college

courses, changing your major five times, one-night stands, alcohol poisoning, having sex with your

neighbor while his girlfriend watched, dating a distant cousin, cocaine, bad credit, or bad eye

shadow; either way, by twenty-five most of us started thinking about other things.

 The big questions…

what do you want to do with the rest of your life? Who will you marry if you marry at all? What

career will you choose? Do you want children? It seemed like everything I knew at twenty-five

morphed into everything I didn’t know by twenty-six, when I was suddenly hit with the realization that

many of the decisions we make in our twenties… are permanent.”

The quote right here sums up all the meaning of this book to me. Wow this book is deep & Awe-inspiring It’s about having faith & taking a leap in what you believe will be best define the rest of your life. If you have been through mid twenties, you be reliving it with this book again. There’s part of this book makes me really angry at Mia , I felt like giving her a good slap, but then I truly understood her character , most of us have done the same things. Sometimes we choose comfort & security because it seems to be the easiest choice.

I absolutely love Will Ryan, he’s a man every women needs. The chemistry between Mia & Will are just explosive. You’ll be giddy reading the dialogs. The writing was beautifully written & so heart-felt it made me cry , it made me angry and it made me smile. I compile inspirational quotes and dialogs from this book and re-read it as a good life reminder.

Such amazing humbling read. Get a copy.

Please listen to the piano piece “all of me” when you get to the part where Mia is giving her “speech”. This is such a beautiful & moving piece

2 BONUS SCENES: from Will’s POV have been released
